HISTORY


Hail Holy Queen Communications, Inc. is a private, independent Catholic Apostolate dedicated to the mission of bringing Catholic Radio to Cleveland, Ohio, to broadcast programs or information which shall be consistent with the teachings of the Magesterium of the Catholic Church, in order to foster a renewal of the Catholic faith and to serve the local Catholic community. Our multi-talented, totally volunteer board of trustees has been vigilant in prayer and work beginning in March 2002. Our first order of business was to seek the prayers of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration Monastery in Cleveland; the Poor Clares in Rocky River; and other area convents, always well aware of their prayers guiding us on our way. Hail Holy Queen has received the blessing and support of Bishop Pilla. Hail Holy Queen board meetings are held in the convent at St. Paul's Shrine, the former residence of Mother Angelica.

 Attended EWTN Global Catholic Radio Conference sponsored by Catholic Radio Association (CRA) in Birmingham, Alabama.

 
May 17-18, 2002

 

 Visited WNOP, Sacred Heart Radio Station in Cincinnati. Toured the radio station and the transmitter site. Interviewed the station manager and the secretary. Hail Holy Queen gathered information regarding radio formation and the daily operation of the radio station, brought back photos to share.

 Begin to pray the Novena to Our Lady of Knock, noting that August 14th this year fell on a Thursday, the same day it fell at the time of the apparition in 1879, 124 years ago.

 Novena ends on the Feast of the Queenship of Mary. Father Donnelly, a trustee, celebrates Mass with us at St. Paul's Shrine at noon on Our Lady's feast day. Decided to continue to pray the Novena perpetually for the successful purchase of a radio station in Cleveland, Ohio and beyond that in thanksgiving and for continued support. Seeking spiritual cooperators. Please join us in invoking Our Lady of Knock and also pray the Hail Holy Queen prayer daily for the success of Catholic Radio in Cleveland, Ohio.

 Hail Holy Queen Communications, Inc. received the status as a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation. All donations are tax-deductible and applied directly toward the purchase and operation of the radio station. Word reached us on Nov. 21st, the feast day of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

 Celebrated the Queenship of Mary at Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine in Euclid with Sisters of The Most Holy Trinity. Our prayer service included the Stations of the Cross, the Rosary and Mass celebrated by Father Donnelly.

 Confirmed Adoration Schedule which commenced on the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary. HHQ's 7 trustees made a commitment to take one day a week, to offer one hour of Eucharistic Adoration / Holy Hour with the intention for Hail Holy Queen's mission of bringing Catholic Radio to Cleveland, Ohio. So daily a Holy Hour is offered. The Poor Clares' of Perpetual Adoration are also praying for this mission. Hail Holy Queen is inviting spiritual cooperators to join us, all in anticipation and in union with Pope John Paul II's announcement on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, October 7th of a special "Year of the Eucharist."

 Hail Holy Queen Advertisement was placed in the Universe Bulletin inviting spiritual cooperators. Providentially the UB front page featured an article on the 150th Anniversary of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration of St. Paul's Shrine. The front page photo was of the sisters kneeling in prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament with the words The Power of Prayer, so continue to prayer. To be continued...
